Atlanta, GA - June 23-27 class is full-section closed

Location: Spivey Hall at Clayton State University,

Spivey Hall is one of the finest concert halls in our nation. Located

on the Clayton State University Campus the workshop is held in the

music building adjacent to the hall, and workshop participants get the

grand tour of the hall and backstage where you will see the “Wall of

Fame” (a photo gallery of the world class musicians who have appeared

in Spivey hall since it opened about 15 years ago.) 

 

Getting there: About a mile east of I-75 just south of the Atlanta airport, it

is easy to find by car.  Those flying in should contact other participants via

our forum to get help with transportation from the airport.

 

Accommodations: There are many motels and suites motels within 6 miles

of the campus. Back roads to and from the campus help you avoid I-75

traffic.

It's in a great location, only two blocks from Union Station and with parking available off of the 2nd Street entrance.

Gahanna is an eastern suburb of Columbus Ohio.  Accommodations

and restaurants abound in the area.

east of I-270, those flying in should contact other participants on our forum

Pittsburgh can be challenging for the driver, but the rivers help you keep

your bearings.  The airport is about 30 minutes from downtown.

Attractions: The city that helped build America with its steel mills, Pittsburgh

Is full of history and charm.  Have dinner on Mt. Washington with spectacular

views of three rivers and the city below. Roam the streets of the river level

restaurants and shops that originally served steel working families.

Duquesne, U. of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie  Mellon (among others) help to make

Pittsburgh a city of learning.

MENC is the largest organization for music teachers in the nation.

We are now at approximately 130,000 members.  Visiting the

Headquarters for a week is a privilege.

 

Getting there:

Dulles Airport is the closest.  Reston is on highway 267 between

Dulles and I-495

Opryland is for everyone, not just country music lovers. 

Rich in music history and entertainment, this is a must see.

of Tennessee plantations and Nashville is the home of the Country Music

Hall of Fame and Museum.

  This is our first visit to Idaho.  Our site is Borah High School, conveniently located for driving or flying.
