Bill Swick Bio PicIf a student by nature demonstrates poor left or right hand technique, that poor technique will become permanent if not fixed from the beginning. Teaching proper left and right hand technique from the beginning is extremely important. Far too many teachers ignore poor technique and write it off as, “it’s only a beginning class, they will fix that later when they get with a better teacher.” By the time “later” comes around, the damage is done. One year of practicing with poor technique takes many years to repair.

Practice makes permanent, regardless if it is good practice or bad practice.
